Hansgrohe is honored to have many of the world’s most successful designers & architects working for them. Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Jean-Marie Massaud, Patricia Urquiola and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec were judged by a highly-qualified judging panel in 2009 to be part of an elite group of the top 25 designers and are considered the world’s best in their craft. They offer a new perspective on bathrooms and have stepped forward as technical innovators. Hansgrohe credits these designers with having a hand in the brand winning more than 300 internationally renowned awards for their faucets, showers and shower systems, as well as helping them to set multiple new trends.
In 1994, Philippe Starck redefined the bathroom when he created the Axor Starck Collection, featuring the first faucet with a joystick-like operating handle.
Antonio Citterio combines home décor and bathrooms, making them a place to relax. The Axor Citterio collection has a clear focus on simplistic luxury and epitomizes the richness of water.
Inspired by nature, Jean-Marie Massaud’s designs seem to work without any technology. The bathroom collection from the French architect and designer also evokes images from nature and focuses on a connection to the natural world.
Patricia Urquiola’s refreshingly unconventional work combines feminine style and floral references with a minimalistic approach: “I love creating fusion!” For Axor, she has launched an association-filled bathroom with an appropriately self-confident slogan: “Awakening your senses”.
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are among the most sought-after creative minds of the 21st century. Their designs move between refined, organic forms and powerful optics. They are characterized by their evocation of imagination and a creative approach. Freedom is the key notion in their first bathroom collection.
